About The Position

Highlights: Summary: The NP - Nurse Practitioner, Physician Practice shall perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice. This NP shall perform complete, detailed and accurate histories; as well as to review patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports. Additionally, the NP will complete physical examinations; make diagnoses and institute therapy, including drug therapy. This individual will institute emergency measures and emergency treatment; arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the collaborating Physician. The NP may also be required to complete hospital rounds; provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience required.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license required
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license through American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required
  • BLS certification required.
  • Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
  • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.

Responsibilities
