Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with experience in developmental disabilities or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols and medical best practices for individuals with developmental, intellectual, and behavioral challenges.
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, with a preference for a concentration in Family Practice or Rehabilitation Nursing.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in New York State, with certification through ANCC or AANP.
  • Must hold valid certifications in CPR, Infection Control, and DEA.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and e-prescribing platforms.
