About The Position

We are seeking Nurse Practitioners to partner with us as independent contractors, providing health readiness services to Military Service members under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP). These services primarily occur on weekends, with occasional weekdays, on an "as needed basis" in the State of _________. The goal is to meet the medical and dental requirements necessary to maintain a deployable military force for various U.S. military reserve components, including the U.S. Army Reserve, Army National Guard, U.S. Navy Reserve, U.S. Marine Forces Reserve, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Air National Guard, and U.S. Air Force Reserve. Requirements

• Active NP license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
• Able to work extended hours
• Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
• Able to travel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Supervising Physician may be required depending on the state requirement

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health
• Experience with mobile medical services
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology
• Weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system
