About The Position

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners, in partnership with Sierra Nevada Eye Center, has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to explore Ophthalmic medicine! The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient co-management with our surgeons to manage all preoperative evaluations, complete compliant history and physicals, and identify risk factors affecting surgical outcomes- ensuring patients are safe, optimized, and ready for surgery. Perform History & Physicals (H&Ps) for surgical patients in accordance with Nevada law. Complete comprehensive evaluations including: ECG review Heart and lung assessment Blood sugar/glucose review and regulation Identification of infection or other surgical contraindications Conduct 30-minute appointments for first-eye evaluations; 15-minute appointments for second-eye assessments Maintain a schedule of 16–24 visits per day Optional opportunities to shadow surgeons, learn slit-lamp examinations, and deepen understanding of ocular anatomy and medical decision making. Responsibilities
