About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner with experience, to meet the growing demand for pre-operative services at Franciscan Health Michigan City IMPACT Center in Michigan City, IN. This Nurse Practitioner would thrive in a fast-paced environment, be team oriented and work collaboratively with physician, to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will, also, have a desire to develop strong ties with patients and the community in which they serve. Ideal candidate will have experience in internal medicine, ambulatory setting and or pre-operative medicine with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Part-time Schedule No call expectation Average outpatient volume: will vary Work collaboratively with surgeons / physician offices and anesthesia providers Will work with patients to ensure they are medically optimized for a variety of surgery procedures Formulate medical diagnosis based on patient admitting status, and physical findings Implement plan of care Communicate to Physicians, their assessment through surveillance exams, injuries, treatment and procedures, as deemed necessary Develop individualized plan of care for all assigned patients Consistently evaluate the effectiveness of care provided to the patient Perform interventions to meet holistic needs of patient, under the direction of the Medical Director, and under the leadership of the Client Resource Manager Franciscan Physician Network (FPN), a division of FRANCISCAN HEALTH , brings together the many primary care and specialty physician groups associated with Franciscan Health’s hospitals and access points across Indiana and Illinois. Requirements

• Master's Degree Nursing / Patient Care
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - National Certification Corporation (NCC)
