About The Position

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioner (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire . The company provides Nurse Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes to work with their nursing teams to improve the quality of care and reduce re-hospitalizations. This position requires 2-3 days of work at a skilled facility in the Lewisville, PA area. Scheduling can be flexible. The company provides numerous tools to assist with documentation and medical records. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions, and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols. Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Home or long-term facility is preferred. The N-P will report to the company's Regional Clinical Director and work closely with the facility's Medical Director and Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• Current PA State RN license
• PA Licensed Nurse Practitioner
• At least 2+ years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
• In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
• Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds
• Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with Nursing teams

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes or long-term facility is a plus, but n ot mandatory

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine check-ups and examinations to assess skin and wound conditions
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions and develop plans of care
• Implementing orders and treatments
• Evaluating the progress of specialized skin and wound conditions
• Evaluate new admissions
• Document status and care plans and monitor changes
• Notify the House physician and family of changes
• Provide Wound Care education to nursing staff
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
