Position Summary The Endovascular Nurse Practitioner will play a key role in providing advanced clinical care under the supervision of the Department Chair of Endovascular Surgery. This position involves managing the primary and specialty healthcare needs of vascular patients, performing clinical assessments, coordinating patient care, and supporting the transition of new patients from external facilities. The Nurse Practitioner must be flexible and able to travel between multiple clinic locations to provide continuity of care and support the vascular team across sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient-centered care. Collaboration with nursing staff, medical providers, and interdisciplinary teams is essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required).
  • Current RN and APN licenses in the State of Michigan (required).
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the appropriate certifying body (required).
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience; at least 1 year in Vascular or Interventional Radiology preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all duties.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and administer medications and treatments per protocols.
  • Provide direct patient care, including wound care and post-procedure follow-up.
  • Evaluate and interpret vascular studies and diagnostic results.
  • Educate patients and families on vascular conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Create and present educational materials and training sessions for nursing staff.
  • Perform patient rounds at nursing homes and coordinate care transitions for new referrals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and care quality.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, policy development, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health records.
  • Mentor new staff and contribute to ongoing education and community health initiatives.
  • Manage medical supply inventory and ensure readiness for procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
