This position provides primary and appropriate specialized health care services to hospital and clinic patients, performing examinations and providing treatment to minor/routine problems, ordering diagnostic tests, establishing diagnoses, prescribing medication, and instructing patients and family members about continuing care.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse and ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in the state of Washington, required by start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and specialized health care to patients.
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat both chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries.
  • Refer to physician as needed.
  • Write prescriptions and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
  • Educate patients and families and help them understand issues related to physical and emotional health.
  • Participate in health promotional activities.
  • Participate in decisions, planning, and policies related to clinical care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with organizational policy.
  • Refer patients to specialty services when appropriate.
  • Provide professional medical services within the scope of training and responsibility, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies.
  • Support physicians with on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Record statistics and conduct research as deemed necessary.
  • Collaborate with staff and physicians to identify patient's needs and help develop plan to meet those needs.
  • Maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.
