About The Position

The Per diem Surgical Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. The surgical NP scrubs and rounds pre and post. Experienced NP with RNFA required. The hours are 7a-5:30pm.

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner (w/ Master's Degree).
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
• RNFA certification.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
