About The Position

The Family Nurse Practitioner - Resident will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. This position is designed for recent graduates or those in the early stages of their nursing careers, providing them with the opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills and knowledge. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program within the last 18 months of start date
• Unrestricted RN license
• Ability to provide credentialing documentation at least 8 weeks prior to start date:
• National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)
• DC APRN license
• DEA
• CDS
• strong clinical assessment abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and healthcare teams.
• Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
