Nurse Practitioner - Pulm/Sleep
About The Position
The facility is a well-established, full-service regional medical center serving the greater Renton community and surrounding areas. It provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services supported by advanced diagnostic, respiratory, and sleep lab technology. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity focused on the evaluation and management of patients with pulmonary disorders and sleep-related conditions. The APP will collaborate closely with pulmonologists, sleep specialists, and respiratory therapy teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Requirements
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Licensure: Active Washington State APRN license (or eligibility)
- Certification: Board Certified as FNP, Adult/Gerontology NP, or Acute Care NP
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience: Pulmonary, sleep medicine, or hospital-based experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and chronic respiratory failure
- Assess and manage sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, and related conditions
- Conduct outpatient visits, follow-ups, and care plan adjustments
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies including PFTs, sleep studies, imaging, and laboratory tests
- Collaborate with pulmonologists, sleep physicians, and respiratory therapists
- Provide patient education on CPAP/BiPAP therapy, inhaler use, and lifestyle modifications
- Document clinical encounters accurately and timely within the EMR
- Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
