Nurse Practitioner - Specialty Practice - Psychiatry
About The Position
PMHNP for Carilion Clinic Full time PMHNP opportunity with Carilion Mental Health. The experienced candidate will be assisting with interventional psychiatry, including treatments such as ECT, TMS, and Ketamine. The experienced candidate will be responsible for following stable patients and/or patients that have been initially seen by a psychiatrist for initial screening. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving positive clinical and quality outcomes in previous work experience and demonstrate agility and flexibility in daily practice. The Primary shift will be Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Though the clinic is currently open during weekday, day times, we anticipate clinic expansion as demand grows which may require flexibility in covering evening hours.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP)
- DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
- Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
