About The Position

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Department of Psychiatry at Hackettstown Medical Center. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Working in collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and care management teams, the PMHNP delivers patient-centered care that includes medication management, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and coordination of care across settings.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited PMHNP program.
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through ANCC.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• DEA license with appropriate schedules for prescribing controlled substances.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• 5 years of RN experience, and 2 years of psychiatry experience preferred.
