Requirements

  • Unencumbered State of GA Licensed NP, expertise, or interest, in treating patients with co-occurring and addictive disorders preferred.
  • Appropriate educational credentials as a Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

  • Provides addiction medicine, and psychiatric/ or medical evaluation and treatment services
  • Performs routine addiction medicine evaluations and psychopharmacologic treatment of patients at admission and ongoing, completing documentation of all evaluations and treatment visits on the day of the session and according to FRN documentation requirements.
  • Ensures timely meetings with patients and timely documentation of related notes.
  • Communicates with attending physicians, psychiatrists, etc. regarding status and treatment of the patient.
  • Professionally and ethically relates to patients and peers at all times.
  • Participates in weekly staff and clinical meetings.
  • After hour on-call schedule as needed
  • On-Call and Weekend Services: On-call Providers rotate throughout the week, and each provider may be on-call at least one weekend per month, as needed. Daily on-call hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day. Weekend on-call hours are from Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
  • The On-Call schedule is based on availability and scheduled around days off that the provider requests ahead of time. Additional on-call is paid at bonus rates.
