About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care - PACT position at the Department of Veterans Affairs is focused on providing comprehensive primary care to Veterans at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Requirements

• Must possess a full and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. state or territory.
• Must have a post-master's certificate or master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Maintain full and current board certification in a clinical specialty from a recognized certifying body.

• 3 years of outpatient primary care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to male and female Veterans.
• Conduct independent clinical evaluations and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Manage a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Order and interpret labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Participate in continuous medical education and stay updated on trends in primary care.
