Brentwood has served Louisiana, East Texas and South Arkansas for more than 45 years. We provide quality services to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We help individuals and families achieve optimal mental health, resulting in improved quality of life. A dedicated professional team provides individualized treatment, meeting the personal needs of our patients in a safe and nurturing environment. The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner examines and treats patients who have been referred to the hospital for mental health or substance abuse treatment under the guidance of staff physicians.

Requirements

Masters of Science in Nursing Degree required
Current licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and current Family Psychiatric and Mental Health ceritification
Minimum of two years of clinical experience required

Responsibilities

Conducts general history and physical evaluations with problem focused areas of evaluation for all patients with assurance that patient history forms, medication lists, procedure lists, and problem lists are addressed.
Accurately perform problem-focused evaluations of medical problems with treatments including medication prescribing and instructions on life-style changes.
Develops and manages patient care follow-up plans.
