About The Position

For Clinic assignment, under direct and indirect supervision of an attending physician this position will provide diagnostic and therapeutic health care coverage for patients which will include but not be limited to taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating lab tests, diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and providing assistance to the patient regarding a plan of treatment and education. Other duties may include: EPIC in basket management and care coordination between cardiology specialties

Requirements

• Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as a Physician Assistant within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.
• Current and clear license (or eligible to be licensed) as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
• BLS is required.
• PA-C required (Adult ICUs, Emergency Medicine, Adult Clinic/Primary Care, Pediatric Clinic/Primary Care, Psychology/Psychiatry)
• NNP required (Neonatal ICU)
• CNM or APRN with Florida license to practice midwifery required (Nurse Midwife)

Nice To Haves

• ICU Experience preferred.
• Emergency Medicine Experience preferred.
• NICU experience preferred.
