About The Position

Crook County Medical Services District (CCMSD) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and make a lasting impact in the close-knit community of Moorcroft, Wyoming. This position will provide high-quality, compassionate primary care in a clinic setting for patients of all ages with manageable patient volumes that allow quality time with each patient. This position will independently follow his/her own panel of general medicine patients, functioning as their primary care provider. You will also work with a dedicated staff that value commitment to rural healthcare and overall community well-being.

Requirements

Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) - Wyoming State Board of Nursing or Physician Assistant (PA) - Wyoming Board of Medicine

Responsibilities

Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for patients.
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assist role.
Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
Facilitates the transition within and between health care settings.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
Facilitates staff, patient and family decisions making and providing educational tools.
Maintain all appropriate licensure necessary to perform essential duties.
