The provider will provide competent, evidence-based medical care by interviewing, examining and treating patients in the fast-paced walk-in clinic.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program with an active license to practice in the state.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong skills in communicating effectively with co-workers, providers, and patients.
  • Ability to conduct daily functions in an appropriate, professional, and compassionate manner.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Teamwork attitude
  • Flexibility to respond to changing demands.
  • Ability to react calmly and competently in stressful situations.
  • Effectively utilize computer systems and programs that are necessary to complete daily tasks.
  • Utilization of Electronic Medical Record
  • 2 shifts per month must be available, 1 being a weekend shift.
  • You must work one holiday per year.
  • Awarded an appropriate Advanced Practice Degree from an accredited school with licensure to practice in the state of Tennessee

Responsibilities

  • Provides competent, evidence-based medical care by interviewing, examining, and treating patients.
  • Independently diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illness and injuries for walk in patients of ages 6 months and above.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropriate.
  • Document detailed patient encounters in electronic medical records in a timely manner.
  • Effectively collaborate with nursing staff and other providers to deliver quality care.
  • Educate patients on conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • See up to 4-6 patients per hour.
  • Other duties as assigned
