As an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you’ll provde compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients with endocrine related conditions. In this highly collaborative fast-paced role you will assess, manage and treat patients at our Mayfaire Town Center clinic in Wilmington, NC. Hours are 800a-500p, 3.5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Current NP or PA certification and active North Carolina license (or eligibility)
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interest in the treatment and care of patients with Gastroenterology issues
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and flexible in scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Provides specialized care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2), thyroid disease and related systems disorders/conditions.
  • Conducts comprehensive endocrine evaluations, including symptom assessment, and review of laboratory and diagnostic data.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
  • Educates patients regarding disease processes, medication management, lifestyle modification, nutrition, and self-management techniques
  • Manages diabetes care, including insulin therapy, non-insulin medications, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), insulin pump therapy, and patient education.
  • Orders, reviews, and interprets endocrine-specific laboratory testing and diagnostic studies
  • Coordinates care with dietitians, diabetes educators, primary care providers, and other specialists to support comprehensive endocrine care.
  • Assists Endocrinologist with answering patient/provider questions and follow-up visits.
  • Collaborates with the Endocrinologist as appropriate.
  • Supports quality initiatives related to diabetes and chronic endocrine conditions.
