Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
About The Position
Highly motivated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to work in state of the art Neurology Outpatient Infusion Clinic and Headache Center. Responsibilities include supervising and rendering administration of infusion therapies, performing IVs, patient assessments and Botox therapy for Migraine patients and other headache therapies as needed. The NP/PA may also assess, diagnose and develop a plan of care in accordance with practice protocols in the Neurology Headache Center. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in growing headache and infusion services in central New York.
Requirements
- NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice).
- Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA).
- Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
