Full-Time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Rheumatology
About The Position
The new rheumatology nurse practitioner or physician assistant will work in a collaborative, dynamic environment with an integrated, multi-disciplinary care team. Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform clinical administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care. Providers see a variable number of patients per day, based upon patient needs and types of appointments scheduled. The office uses the AthenaHealth EHR.
Requirements
- New York NP or PA license
- DEA
- 1+ year advanced practice experience
- 1+ year rheumatology experience
Responsibilities
- review patient histories
- perform physical examinations
- consult with patients and physicians to determine courses of treatment
- provide treatments and care plans
- communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
