About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position at Boston Children's Hospital is a temporary role focused on providing care to infants, children, and adolescents with acute and chronic illnesses. Requirements

• A minimum of 2+ years inpatient pediatric experience with preference for those with experience in caring for higher acuity or higher complexity patients.
• 1+ year of Pediatric NP or PA experience preferred.
• Would consider new graduate nurse practitioner with recent pediatric inpatient RN experience.
• Master's Degree with current NP or PA license, BLS and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Providing care to infants, children, adolescents, and families for management of acute and chronic illnesses requiring intensive nursing and medical supports but not requiring the ICU.
• Collaborating with the supervising physician to conduct patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and diagnose health and developmental problems.
• Participating in the ICP medical rounds, including the presentation of clinical information, the progress and management of patients, and assisting in establishing and implementing treatment plans.
• Participating in or leading quality and safety initiatives and research in the ICP.
• Offering expertise as consultant and educator to nursing staff.
