About The Position
Stanford Health Care is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP-Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work independently at the Stanford Health Care Cancer Center (Cancer Center South Bay). This position involves serving a spectrum of all Stanford Health Care cancer patients, particularly at the Redwood City site where APPs collaborate with experienced physicians to care for a medically complex patient population. The program currently has one Medical Oncologist at RWC who manages a wide range of patients, from benign to malignant hematology and various solid tumor diagnoses. APPs will provide a wide array of cancer care services, including sick calls, pre-treatment visits, return patient visits, survivorship care, and management of side effects or complications from cancer treatments. They will also perform procedures and provide supervision and direct care to patients in the infusion treatment area (ITA), addressing urgent issues such as infusion reactions and acute symptom management.
