Hospitalist contingent opportunity available in our critical care area.. Flexibility to work the day or night shift is required. Schedule includes 1 weekend a month. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides inpatient medical care, with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff (e.g.: Patient history, physical examination, ordering and interpreting tests, making diagnoses and instituting treatment plans. APP provides inpatient consultation on internal medicine conditions and may unction as a critical team member on the hospital code team. NP or PA in conjunction with the supervising physician conducts admission evaluations and assessments and provides inpatient medical coverage for community physicians, as necessary. May be required to take call. Specific procedures within the Department of Medicine are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. At least 1 year experience as an NP or PA on rapid response/Critical care necessary.
