About The Position
The Heart Center Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship will provide New Graduate Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners with a broad educational experience across the CICU, Inpatient Acute Care, Cardiac Procedural and Ambulatory Settings. This is a 9 month, full-time fellowship with eligibility of hire with an additional 3 months of training upon successful completion of the APP fellowship and match to a unit of hire in an inpatient or intensive care capacity. The APP Fellowship experience will build competency in episodic and longitudinal cardiac care via didactic classes, hands-on, direct care experiences across all units, simulation, presentations and a Capstone Project. The APP Fellows will train with physicians and APPs, and integrate with members of the multidisciplinary team. APP Fellows will be supported by a core team of faculty, APP liaisons, preceptors, and mentors.
