Organization: VHVI VUH Advanced Practice Inpatient Job Summary: This role will perform inpatient consults and supports the EP recovery room. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP provides healthcare in cardiac ambulatory specialty care and cardiac acute care health care settings. The APP provides comprehensive cardiology care ranging from medical to surgical cardiac conditions. The APP has didactic education, clinical competency and national certification in identified area of clinical practice. The APP demonstrates medical knowledge, clinical judgment, technical competence, professionalism, interpersonal communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and is responsible for professional development and competency validation. The APP has an advanced knowledge of nursing theory and application.
