Full-Time Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Cardiology
About The Position
The new cardiology nurse practitioner or physician assistant will work in a collaborative environment with an integrated care team. The role is based in an outpatient clinic currently staffed with 6 cardiologists and 3 cardiology nurse practitioners / physician assistants. Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable, modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care. The office boasts a robust list of treatments and services, ensuring they’re able to effectively treat all cardiology conditions. The office uses the AthenaHealth EHR.
Requirements
- New York NP or PA license
- DEA
- 1+ year advanced practice cardiology experience preferred
- new grads with RN or other cardiology experience may be considered
Responsibilities
- provide general outpatient cardiology services
- review patient histories
- perform physical examinations
- consult with patients and physicians to determine courses of treatment
- provide treatments and care plans
- communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure delivery of quality care
