About The Position

Interested in a dynamic, autonomous practice setting, working with a highly skilled and collaborative APP team? Consider joining our ambulatory care Cancer Center Infusion APP team. The Cancer Center Infusion APP team is responsible for overseeing the care of 50-75 patients per day (depending on size of unit). We cover five Infusion centers providing treatment for Oncology and non-Oncology patients. The Infusion APPs triage multiple issues in real time and ensure continuity of care through collaboration and communication with physicians/surgeons/APP colleagues as well as other clinical and administrative staff. Ultimately, we ensure timely patient care and treatment to meet goals of care, optimize the patient experience and ensure good patient outcomes. In addition to our infusion areas, we cover our three bed Cancer Center Acute Care (CACC) where we manage higher acuity Oncology patients to avoid unnecessary emergency room visits, hospital admissions and facilitate emergency services and admission when necessary. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $141.87 - $141.87 (Hourly Rate). Requirements

  • Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master’s degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner in the same specialty and setting.
  • One (1) year of experience in adult critical care medicine as a Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
  • Speciality Certifications: OCN or AOCNP
  • ECG and imaging: (X-ray, CT and MRI interpretation)
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction
  • California Nurse Practitioner (NP) License without restriction
  • California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number
  • NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role:
  • California Driver License (if required for position)
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Additional required AHA certifications:
  • Additional required certifications (such as ENLS): None
  • UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day.
  • Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
