About The Position

Nurse Practitioners provide health care to Medical/Surgical service patients in collaboration with the attending physicians of the assigned specialty. Responsibilities include the delivery of care within the Medical/Surgical division, in accordance with the agreed upon Practice Protocols and Nurse Practitioner Clinical Practice Agreement. Acts within the policies and procedures established by the Division of Nursing, service department, and NewYork Presbyterian Queens Medical Group. Diagnose therapy, and follow-up care strategy for patients as directed by the Pediatrician. Describe medical terminology and procedures to patients and patients families to assist in making informed choices and decisions.

Requirements

• Previous pediatric experience.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Masters Degree in Nursing.
• NP certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Current with medical technology and treatment methods.

Responsibilities
