Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician's Assistant to join our team at our Digestive Health Center. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients. Cedar Valley Medical Specialists is 100 percent independent and 100 percent locally owned. Our staff of more than 400 includes specialized physicians, as well as advanced practice and mid-level providers, and support staff across dozens of healthcare specialties. We are headquartered in Waterloo, and all of our physicians, clinics, and labs are located in and around the Cedar Valley so that we may better serve our entire community.
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Iowa
- Appropriate, applicable education to support licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and medical software
Nice To Haves
- Experience in gastroenterology or digestive health preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Conducting physical exams and medical histories
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribing medications and treatments
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Developing treatment plans and providing patient education
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
