About The Position
A Primary Care practice in Lake Zurich is seeking a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The role encompasses comprehensive patient care responsibilities, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations in both hospital and outpatient settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating acutely ill hospitalized patients, managing their care throughout their hospital stay, and coordinating post-acute care. This position requires active involvement in patient management, including conducting patient rounds, ordering treatment regimens, interpreting laboratory and radiology results, and prescribing medications as necessary. In addition to direct patient care, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will collaborate with specialty and primary care physicians, communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members, and ensure continuity of care during patient admissions and discharges. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation to comply with regulatory requirements. The candidate will provide general and preventative care in the outpatient office, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, and order lab tests, all while fostering a positive work environment through collaboration with other healthcare providers. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the candidate must be willing to share night and weekend calls with other providers and assist in covering vacancies as needed. The position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.
