About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position is a full-time role located in Oklahoma City, OK. The individual will function as an independent healthcare provider responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute or chronic medical conditions in an urgent care setting, which may include telehealth medicine. The role requires the practitioner to demonstrate an advanced level of medical clinical knowledge, effective communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. The position also emphasizes the importance of being friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service driven.

Requirements

• Oklahoma Advanced Practice license
• DEA and OBNDD required
• Skills in pediatric, adult, and geriatric care
• Experience in laceration management including staples, sutures, dermabond, and suture removal
• Basic splint application skills
• Basic EKG interpretation skills
• Basic blood and urinalysis interpretation skills
• Management of common complaints such as upper respiratory infections, GI tract complaints, STD treatment, screening exams, diabetes, asthma, and hypertension.

Responsibilities

• Assure personal compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
• Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with our medical model.
• Establish appropriate level of care for patients.
• Complete all medical record documentation prior to end of shift.
• Work with and encourage clinical support staff to assure quality and proficiency in the delivery of clinical care.
• Function as an independent healthcare provider responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute or chronic medical conditions in an urgent care setting.
