About The Position

The position is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Kingfisher, OK, on a seasonal basis. The role involves evaluating and treating patients in accordance with a medical model, establishing appropriate levels of care, and ensuring compliance with licensing and accrediting bodies. The healthcare provider will work independently in an urgent care setting, which may include telehealth services, and is responsible for comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Oklahoma Advanced Practice license
• Skills in pediatric, adult, and geriatric care.
• Experience in laceration management including staples, sutures, dermabond, and suture removal.
• Ability to perform basic splint application.
• Basic EKG interpretation skills.
• Basic blood and urinalysis interpretation skills.
• Management of common complaints such as upper respiratory infections, GI tract complaints, STD treatment, screening exams, diabetes, asthma, and hypertension.

Responsibilities

• Assure personal compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
• Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with our medical model.
• Establish appropriate level of care for patients.
• Complete all medical record documentation prior to end of shift.
• Work with and encourage clinical support staff to assure quality and proficiency in the delivery of clinical care.
• Demonstrate friendliness, courtesy, service orientation, professionalism, and customer service.
