About The Position
Ballad Health Medical Associates is looking for a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinic in Abingdon, VA. Requirements
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a current Virginia license
- Strong relationship-building skills and initiative
Nice To Haves
- Experience in occupational medicine, primary care, ortho, or emergency medicine preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care for occupational injuries and illnesses
- Perform pre-employment and return-to-work physicals
- Conduct OSHA-regulated exams (DOT physicals, surveillance exams – training provided)
- Support workplace wellness programs and consult on health hazards
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic testing, and refer to specialists as needed
