The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and caring for pediatric patients assigned to the Endocrine department in consultation and outpatient roles and at times inpatient. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. OR · Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification . Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board ( PA-C) . AND · Current Basic Life Support ( BLS ), Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
