About The Position

The Urogynecology NP/PA provides comprehensive care to patients with pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other urogynecologic conditions. This advanced practice provider works collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing -OR- Must be a Masters prepared Physician Assistant who has graduated from an AMA approved Physician Assistant program.
• NP -Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner, Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
• PA -State of Michigan State Physician Assistant licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
• Eligible or have obtained a DEA number for prescriptive authority in Michigan.
• Current BLS/ACLS

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Urology and/or Gynecology/Women's Health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive histories and physical examinations focused on urogynecologic and pelvic floor disorders.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, urodynamics, pelvic imaging, and laboratory studies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, including conservative management, pharmacologic therapy, and pre/postoperative care.
• Perform office-based procedures such as pessary fitting, catheter management, and pelvic floor assessments.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, and preventive care.
