About The Position
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, located in beautiful Northeast Florida, is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Supportive Care team within the Division of Cancer Medicine. We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work in our Supportive Care Department. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in oncology and supportive/palliative care. Patient population: Providing care for adult patients with malignant and complex oncologic conditions who need symptom and supportive care management in coordination with their primary oncologic physician. Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- DEA at time of hire
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of experience in oncology or palliative care medicine preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing care for adult patients with malignant and complex oncologic conditions who need symptom and supportive care management in coordination with their primary oncologic physician.
- Evaluates existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as a multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, and performs clinic procedures as applicable.
- Supports symptom and pain management, advanced care planning and palliative care.
