Requirements

  • Strong clinical acumen in primary or preventive care, internal medicine, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation standards.
  • Exceptional communication, patient education, and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.
  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program; current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Florida.
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in weight management, nutrition, or patient wellness (preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience in outpatient or primary care is a plus, but all qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth patient consultations, comprehensive history and physical examinations, and ongoing assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage overweight and obesity-related conditions utilizing current clinical guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized weight loss and wellness treatment plans in partnership with patients.
  • Interpret lab results, order diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans based on evidence and patient progress.
  • Provide nutritional, behavioral, and lifestyle counseling; instruct patients in medication administration and exercise recommendations.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in EMR systems.
  • Promote a positive and welcoming patient experience, demonstrating empathy and cultural competence at every step.
  • Participate in clinic marketing efforts, community outreach, and staff training initiatives as needed.
