About The Position
ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Palliative Care, located in Greenville North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established Hospice and Palliative Care program. The successful candidate will provide compassionate end of life care to patients and families at ECU Health Medical Center. Highlights include: Employment by ECU Health Physicians Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center Opportunity available due to program expansion Established palliative care team inclusive of 3 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers Clinical responsibilities will include providing consults in both inpatient and outpatient settings in person and via a telemedicine service 16-bed Palliative Care Unit Interdisciplinary care team approach Ability to live only an hour away from the beautiful beaches of the North Carolina coast Competitive Compensation and Comprehensive Benefits to include: Administrative Stipend, Relocation, Paid Vacation and Sick, Malpractice/Tail Coverage, 401k matching/457, Medical, Dental, & Vision
Responsibilities
- Complete patient admission and discharges
- Perform daily clinical rounds on inpatient units
- Develop and update patient plans of care
- Direct/participate in family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Participate in agency Quality Improvement and Patient/Family Experience activities
