About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider provides high-quality, efficient care for patients with acute, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. This role emphasizes rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in a fast-paced clinical environment. The APP evaluates a wide range of conditions such as infections, minor trauma (e.g., lacerations, sprains, fractures), respiratory illnesses, and other episodic health concerns. They perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests (including X-rays and lab work), and develop appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities include prescribing medications, performing procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision and drainage), and providing patient education on follow-up care. Nurse Practitioner: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of advanced nursing. Must be currently licensed to practice as an advanced nurse practitioner by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina. Physician Assistant: Must be a graduate of an accredited PA program, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, NCCPA National Certification Exam completion and passing, current licensure, clinical expertise, leadership, and organizational ability. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. Must be self-motivated. Must have significant practice experience in private practice or institutional setting.

Requirements
