About The Position

Methodist Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Electrophysiology Cardiology team. This advanced practice provider will work collaboratively with EP cardiologists to deliver high-quality care to patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac rhythm disorders. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with a focus on continuity of care, procedural support, and patient education.

Requirements

Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
National certification as an NP (FNP, AGACNP, or ACNP) or PA-C.
Minimum of 1–2 years of cardiology experience preferred; EP experience highly desirable.
BLS and ACLS certification .
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments, physical exams, and evaluations of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Manage pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing EP studies, ablations, pacemaker and ICD implantations.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide patient education on device management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor and interpret device data (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders) and assist in remote monitoring follow-up.
Participate in inpatient rounding, consults, and discharge planning.
Document all patient interactions and procedures in the EMR accurately and timely .
Assist with coordination of care across the Methodist Healthcare system and referring providers.
