About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based obesity and weight management care. In this patient-centric role, you will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians, developing and implementing weight loss plans to improve health outcomes and help patients realize their goals.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Wisconsin; national board certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Prior clinical experience in weight management, family medicine, internal medicine, endocrinology, or preventative care is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in medication management, and a commitment to holistic, evidence-based care.
  • Excellent patient communication and motivational counseling skills in a gender-neutral and inclusive manner.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated reliability, organizational ability, and professionalism, with strict attention to detail and documentation standards.
  • Flexibility to work part-time, with the potential for hours to expand based on clinic needs and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive new patient medical evaluations and develop individualized weight management plans, incorporating nutrition, physical activity, and behavioral recommendations.
  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up visits, medication management, and adjustment of treatment strategies as needed for long-term success.
  • Order, interpret, and act on laboratory results and relevant diagnostic testing to support safe and effective care.
  • Provide patient education on healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention in a supportive and accessible manner.
  • Administer, monitor, and document FDA-approved medications for chronic weight management as indicated and appropriate per clinical protocol.
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and front office staff to ensure timely, coordinated, and seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records using EMR systems, ensuring compliance with documentation and privacy standards.
  • Support clinic quality improvement efforts and actively participate in ongoing training in evidence-based obesity and weight management interventions.
  • Contribute to outreach and patient engagement strategies that promote clinic visibility and foster positive relationships in the community.
