About The Position

High Desert Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Full-time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team in Lancaster, CA .We are seeking providers who practice medicine with excellent patient care and customer service. We focus on making sure our providers have a sufficient amount of time to address the patient’s needs in a friendly environment. High Desert Medical Group has been providing excellent medical care for 45 years and is very well respected in the community. We participate in many community events to support and improve overall health, social well-being and also educate and empower citizens to take charge of their health. HDMG offers primary care and an array of specialists, including an Urgent Care Center. We offer candidates an opportunity to grow and make a difference to those we have the privilege to serve. Position Details Urgent Care Comprehensive training Schedule: 12- hour shifts per week Monday- Sunday 8a-9p and every other weekend rotation Nurse, medical assistant and front office staff support team Collect subjective data (obtain history). Collect objective data (perform a physical exam). Develop an assessment (diagnosis). Develop and implement a management plan. Facilitate the referral of patients to the appropriate health facilities, agencies and resources within the community. Order pharmacologic interventions. Develop and implement an educational plan. Plan for appropriate follow-up care.

Requirements

  • 1 Year of Urgent Care or Emergency Room Experience
  • Must be able to see all ages.
  • Must have experience with typical in-office procedures: laceration repair, toenail removal, FB removal, pre-op’s, etc.
  • Active CA Medical License
  • Current Medicare Provider Number
  • Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
  • CA Driver’s license active and in good standing
  • Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
  • Must have great communication skills and bedside manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent or proficient Medical Spanish is a plus but not required

  • The pay range for this position is expected to be between $166,000 – $186,000 annually; base pay offered may vary depending on individualized factors, including related knowledge, licensure skills, experience, and market factors
