About The Position

The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient services in collaboration with a licensed Physician. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care, as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare disciplines, utilizing a team approach to healthcare. You will work with an experienced team providing orthopedic care in a Level III trauma center. Call expectations of 1:10.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years' nursing experience in specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
