We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP or PA) to deliver high-quality care across inpatient and outpatient settings. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of physicians and APPs dedicated to improving lives through innovative pain management strategies. Hours Monday through Friday Five 8-hour shifts (typically 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) No weekends, no on-call Location Primary: UPMC Mercy and Magee chronic pain clinics Occasional travel to other UPMC pain management sites for onboarding and coverage Position Specifics Mix of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities Independent outpatient return clinics and collaborative work with attending physicians (~50%) Rounding on inpatient chronic pain service (~50%) Eligible for APP incentive plan Department Details Join a team of 13 Advanced Practice Providers Collaborative environment with physicians and multidisciplinary teams Focused on innovative pain medicine and patient-centered care Opportunities for professional growth and participation in departmental initiatives Advanced Practice Provider The Staff or Senior Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The APP has responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. The APP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members. The role of the APP encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision. The APP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients, and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The APP begins to demonstrate a commitment to the community and to their healthcare profession. The successful candidate will be placed according to years and months of experience for employment purposes. The posted salary range is for the Senior Level which requires three (3) or more years of APP experience.
