About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to join our Primary Care team! This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, offering either 4 or 5 days a week from 8am to 5pm, totaling 36 patient contact hours per week. There are no weekends or call responsibilities, and the expected patient volume is between 70-90 patients per week. This is a float position, and the region can be flexible depending on the candidate's location and clinic needs.

Requirements

  • FNP or PA BE/BC required
  • 1-2 years primary care experience required

Responsibilities

  • Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
  • Develop treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
  • Order and adjust medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
  • Assist in the assessment of the clinical nurse's performance and validates clinical competencies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
  • Perform minor office procedures.
