Division of Plastic Surgery Description of APP Role: Work collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary health team (The Cleft and Craniofacial team which consists of Human Genetics, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Pulmonary, Audiology, Speech Therapy, Dentistry, Orthodontics, Dietitian, and Social Work) to provide coordinated care management for infants, children, adolescents, and some adult patients with a Cleft lip and/or palate, Craniosynostosis, or other Craniofacial Conditions. This is primarily an outpatient position that includes individual clinics and participation in multidisciplinary team clinics. Support for inpatients is also included. The APP role will assist with managing infant feeding of the cleft population as a newborn, provide surgical education for upcoming surgeries (e.g. cleft lip repair, palate and VPI procedures), and make referrals to subspecialties when indicated.
