We are seeking both nurse practitioners and physician assistants to join the Division of Emergency Medicine. Rady Children's Hospital San Diego (RCHSD), a 377-bed level 1 Trauma Center, is the major regional primary and tertiary pediatric hospital and is the clinical home of UCSD Department of Pediatrics. The Emergency Division has a strong commitment to clinical care, teaching and research. The Urgent Cares consist of 6 locations around the county of San Diego and the surrounding areas. The Emergency Department is located at the Rady Children's Hospital Main Campus. The Nurse Practitioner, NICU-ED-UC provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical settings. This position is accountable for a defined patient population under the supervision of a licensed physician and is the primary provider of care to acute, critical, complex chronically ill and well pediatric patients collaboratively with the Divisions of Neonatology, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care. The Nurse Practitioner, NICU-ED-UC also functions as a clinical leader, educator, researcher, and consultant.
