About The Position

The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient services in collaboration with a licensed physician. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care, as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare disciplines, utilizing a team approach to healthcare. This role will assist our orthopedic hand surgeon, but also assist other surgeons as a backup. Call responsibilities will be about 5 days per month.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant.
• Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
• Nurse Practitioner Licensure or Physician Assistant certification.
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years' nursing experience in specialty.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

Responsibilities
